The exhibition Krasse Koppen at The Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp runs until 21 January 2024, featuring masterpieces by Bruegel, Rubens, Jordaens, Rembrandt, Hals and Vermeer, among others. No solemn portraits of rulers and merchants, but poignant paintings of ordinary people with unusual faces.

The Brueghels were a family business spanning four generations. For the Noordbrabant Museum we made three family portraits of creative families who work closely together. The family El Hamus (actors, writers, directors), the family Vermeersch (artists, designers) and the family De Boer (art dealers).
